Application Support Team Leader (SQL & Azure)
The Opportunity:
ISR are recruiting for an Application Support Team Leader (SQL & Azure) on behalf of a multi-national technology company.
The successful applicant will have a background in application support, primarily with SQL Server and MS Azure.
You will play an important role in leading a team consisting of x1 Application Engineer and x2 Application Testers, while still being involved in support from a technical perspective.
Skills and Experience
* BTEC or higher in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science)
* At least 3 years’ experience in application support and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of the following technologies:
* Microsoft SQL Server (essential)
* MS Azure Platform (essential)
* Knowledge of SAP 4HANA CRM (desirable)
* Scripting & Automation (desirable)
* MCSE or MCITP certifications (highly desirable)
* Prior line management experience, including conducting 1-2-1s and performance reviews
* Some knowledge of security standards and ITIL practices would be very useful
Role and Responsibilities:
* Assist in logging, investigating, and rectifying all application-related incidents, problems, and changes on the customer's supported systems
* Oversee and execute application deployments, bug fixes, and implement changes in both Production and Non-Production environments
* Monitor business-critical services and applications effectively, identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventative maintenance interventions
* Implement and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Supervise, mentor, and identify training needs for the application support team
* Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota, rotating every 1 in 6 weeks
