We have an opportunity for a National Account Manager (Foodservice) to join our Commercial Team.

The National Account Manager (Foodservice) will be responsible for proactively developing relationships and financial positions within key Wholesale buying groups. They will implement price increases as required, negotiate terms of trade, and deliver budgeted numbers within these groups.
This is a fast-paced role, where the successful candidate will have proven work experience as a National Account Manager with Foodservice Wholesale experience. With excellent communication skills, they will build strong relationships with individual members of wholesale buying groups while managing a Field Sales Executive.
This role is Homebased with weekly travel to our Sheffield and Manchester sites.

This is what you’ll actually do!
The National Account Manager (Foodservice) will be responsible for planning trade shows and events within buying groups, ensuring planning is communicated to the FSE. They will visit ‘Meet the member’ / Trade events as required. They will ensure sales forecasts are updated monthly, communicating any changes to the business in a timely manner while meeting with head office buyers regularly. They will also work closely with the Finance Controllers to understand and improve the financial position within accounts.
The National Account Manager (Foodservice) will agree promotional plans for key Wholesale groups, communicate effectively with the business, and implement price increases in line with FFG expectations. They will regularly review, improve, and agree trading terms for Key Wholesale groups and work closely with the Group Marketing / NPD team to understand product launch and delist plans for effective customer communication.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will proactively approach new business wins for both branded and own label opportunities resulting in new incremental sales and profit, working closely with the Commercial Executive to progress sales data and customer presentations.

1. Experienced in a customer-facing role (ideally within the Foodservice sector)
2. Experience in the Foodservice Wholesale sector
3. Excellent planning, organisational, and written skills
4. Excellent IT skill set
5. Ability to work independently, self-driven
6. Team player with good interpersonal skills
7. Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills
8. Understanding of the market and competitors
9. Able to work closely with and manage a Commercial Executive / FSE
