WCSEE is looking for a dedicated and results-oriented Sales Manager for the South East. At WCS Environmental Engineering (WCSEE) we specialise in wastewater treatment solutions for both municipal and industrial clients. We offer advanced technologies, such as the patented WCSEE Hybrid biological treatment process, which uses a submerged moving-bed, fixed-film reactor to treat wastewater more energy-efficiently and within a smaller footprint compared to traditional methods.
The role primarily focuses on driving sales within the UK Utility industry, with occasional involvement in specialised Commercial and Industrial markets. Responsibilities include developing and managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring sales targets are met. Depending on experience, the role may also involve managing other sales team members. Regular collaboration with the Marketing Manager is essential to align sales strategies with market trends and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to setting the strategic plan for UK Utility, Municipal & Industrial sectors.
* Lead, develop, and motivate teams, implementing Individual Development Plans.
* Set budgets, sales targets, and KPIs, monitoring performance and taking corrective action.
* Provide rolling 3-month and 6-month sales forecasts for named projects.
* Hold regular sales meetings, provide market and competitor feedback to Sales Director/Head of Sales.
* Drive customer service excellence and expand sales opportunities across diverse accounts.
* Develop and manage a regional business portfolio with clear business growth objectives.
* Negotiate agreements, analyse competitive market penetration, and ensure effective time management.
Requirements
Essential:
* Knowledge of Commercial and Utility market segments.
* Strong IT literacy and technical sales expertise.
* Proven negotiating skills and ability to present professionally to various audiences.
* Track record of sales achievement and new business development.
* Full driving licence.
Desirable:
* Technical qualifications in construction and preferably wastewater industries.
* Strong general education, ideally with a recognised quality qualification.
* Experience in preparing tenders, proposals, and quotations within the Water industry.
* Proven sales and sales management experience.
