The role
As part of your role as a Payroll Associate, you will provide assistance for end-to-end processing of standard payrolls on Sage 50 Payroll, perform general administrative duties as requested, keep up to date with all payroll legislation and industry changes, and assist the payroll executives with payroll-related administrative tasks.
In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers and the same goes for our people. As an Associate, we will provide you with hands-on experience of working on real client information to learn about the industry and its requirements.
The attributes we are looking for include excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be liaising with our clients, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and strong attention to detail.
You will join a wider network of 170 in the payroll team, with great opportunities to progress within this large team.
Key accountabilities
We have created a first-class training and development programme and, by starting your career at Azets, in addition to the comprehensive on-the-job training, you will also be given all the support you need to complete a professional qualification, including college and/or study days, mentoring, and a designated buddy.
We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be the Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship. Following this, if you wish to gain the CIPP qualification, we will enrol you onto a relevant apprenticeship program and ensure your role includes tasks that are in line with the apprenticeship scheme requirements.
Skills & experience
To get the job that you’ll love, you will:
* Need the right to work in the UK from your start date
* Have achieved/be on track to achieve 96 UCAS points or equivalent
* Have achieved Level 4 or above in GCSE English Language & Maths
* Please note, this role is not suitable if you hold an undergraduate degree
