Your ROLE with us The North Face are expanding their Manchester Design Team and have an opening for a Junior Designer. This full time position is based in our Product Hub for The North Face in Manchester. Let's talk about the role Working with the current creative team, you will play a central role in creating newness and evolving existing ranges. You need to be passionate about design, commercially smart and thrive in a team environment. • Work on seasonal concepts & collections for the JD Sports Exclusive (smu) Collection. In collaboration with the other dedicated designers. • Research market trends and styles, ensuring comprehensive product and competitor knowledge. • Use Illustrator to create designs, and overviews. • Create techpacks with all details and technical information required for product developers and upload to online database. • Work closely with Merchandising and Product Development teams. • Following up on all changes that relate to the product area/ styles on a daily basis. • Attend fit session to partner and support with the Design & Development teams. • Create digital overviews of the collection. • Create layouts for internal and external presentations. • Generating 3D Renderings of key looks & styles if skill set allows Skills For Success • Experience: need to have experience in similar role 1-3 years • BA in Fashion Design • Must be a team player • Be creative and proactive • Team working skills, work together with the design & product teams • Understanding of the design process • Understanding of the technical side of product • Ability to meet deadlines during peak periods • Strong organizational skills • Skills - Adobe creative suite, photoshop and Illustrator are a must • 3D Software - Clo or Browzware considered a plus • A creative, open minded individual • Someone who can adapt quickly and easily; and is reliable, takes initiative • Fluent in English - written and spoken About VF VF is a global apparel company connecting people to the lifestyles they cherish through our family of iconic brands.
