There is an exciting internal opportunity for an experienced Band 7 Sister / Charge Nurse with a relevant post specialist course and significant clinical experience caring for level 2 and level 3 patients to join the Critical Care Outreach Team at The Royal London Hospital for an initial nine month secondment. We are advertising for two secondment periods as follows:
August 2025 – May 2026 – placement 1
May 2026 – February 2026 – placement 2
At the end of the secondment periods the two nurses will take up a rotational post working between ACCU and CCOT at the end of the secondment.
Whilst on secondment, he successful candidate will develop their clinical assessment skills and become an Enhanced CCOT Practitioner, whilst maintaining the ability to work collaboratively as part of the wider multi-professional team.
In addition, the post holder will have the opportunity to be involved with the delivery of the Acute Care Skills programme that incorporates formal and informal teaching including simulation training. There are also opportunities to participate in audit, quality improvement and service development.

1. Level 1 Registered Nurse or AHP
2. Post graduate certificate in Critical Care/HDU/Neurosciences/Cardiology or CT Nursing
3. Educated to degree level
4. Intravenous accreditation
5. ALS

7. Evidence of further professional development

Experience
Essential criteria
10. Minimum of 5 years ICU Experience
11. Minimum of 3 years post specialist course
