The Role:
As a Science Teacher at our school, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and challenging science lessons to students across key stages. You will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons in a collaborative environment, helping students develop a strong foundation in science, critical thinking, and practical skills. We are looking for someone who can inspire curiosity, creativity, and a passion for science.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver outstanding and innovative science lessons to students of all abilities.
2. Plan, prepare, and assess engaging science lessons aligned with the curriculum.
3. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
4. Manage and motivate students to encourage their academic and personal development.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the quality of science education.
6. Participate in extracurricular activities, including science clubs and events.
7. Keep up to date with developments in science education and incorporate new ideas into your teaching.
8. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues about student progress.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about science and education, with a commitment to ensuring every student achieves their full potential. You should be:
1. A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in a science-related field.
2. Experienced in teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
3. A dedicated and enthusiastic individual with excellent subject knowledge.
4. Skilled in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
5. Able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
6. Committed to continuous professional development and contributing to the wider school community.
