Clinical Neuropsychologist/ Clinical Psychologist in Neurorehabilitation. Grade 8b Full-time
We are seeking a Clinical Neuropsychologist or clinical psychologist with neuropsychology experience to join our dynamic and innovative team in the department of Clinical Neuropsychology, specifically to work in a post providing neuropsychological rehabilitation across the neuro-rehab pathway within NHS Grampian Specialist Rehabilitation services. Applications are welcomed from Clinical Neuropsychologists or Clinical Psychologists with experience in neuropsychology.
The post will be based in Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen providing neuropsychological rehabilitation to patients within a post-acute rehabilitation unit and, as part of the wider team, providing outreach into the community. As part of a committed MDT including occupational therapy, rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy, nursing and speech and language therapy you will contribute to holistic rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions and acquired brain injury.
As well as providing and developing a clinical neuropsychology service to patients within specialist rehabilitation, successful applicants will become part of the lively Clinical Neuropsychology department in NHS Grampian. Supporting staff interests and professional development is a priority for us and we encourage research and innovation. Our recent staff projects include developing a group programme for people with FND and research into cognitive consequences of COVID-19. CPD is supported via a regular internal programme and we encourage professional development through the Clinical Neuropsychology Knowledge and Practice programme at Glasgow University. The department maintains close links with the University of Aberdeen and East of Scotland Clinical Psychology training course.
The post is supported and supervised by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. Job share or part-time hours will be considered.
