The Behaviour Mentor Job
An Alternative Provision Centre in Orpington is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to start as soon as possible. This is a long term, full time position and will run for the remainder of the academic year. You will be working with young people across KS3 and KS4.
The Behaviour Mentor Skills
This Alternative Provision or PRU school is looking for a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor who has a good understanding of young people's needs. You will be working in the secondary team supporting pupils on a 1:1 or classroom basis with their motivation and learning. You will have the opportunity to assist these students in activities that will further their independence and help them reintegrate back into mainstream school.

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Applicant:
1. Strong behaviour management
2. Experience being a Behaviour Mentor is desirable but not essential
3. Have a passion for teaching students who struggle with mainstream school
4. Experience teaching within an alternative provisions environment or a secondary school environment
5. A patient, calm and engaging classroom manner.
6. Strong communication skills
7. Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
