Estimator Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 (Depending on experience) Office based - No remote work A reputable steel framing company with a strong and established client base is seeking an experienced Estimator. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company within the construction industry. Reporting to and collaborating closely with the Design Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in project estimation and contribute to the company's continued expansion across multiple sectors. Duties and responsibilities: Detailed and accurate interpretation of customers drawings ranging from architectural and planning drawings to simpler sketches requiring quotation. Attention to detail is essential and an ability to communicate both internally and externally to ensure all elements are covered accurately within the quote to meet the client's specific requirements. Estimating; liaising with the structural Engineer and the internal design team. Produce detailed quotes from client's drawings. Maintain database of purchase prices for pricing budgets and alternate product sourcing. Post job cost analysis. Some general office administration and support as required. Estimator Skills Required: Accuracy and attention to detail. Able to work to deadlines and under time pressure to meet customer service targets. Professional conduct and good communication skills at all levels. Experience in purchasing would also be advantageous. The role will involve working both autonomously, but also in consultation with the team regarding technical solutions, prioritisation and commercial decision making. The ability to liaise professionally and confidently with clients will be a distinct advantage. Precise handovers to the design team will be required. Being a SME business, the role will also require some general administration and office support as required.
