Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker or Social Worker looking to pick up some extra shifts? We are currently looking to build our casual pool of residential workers to pick up shifts on an ad hoc basis. It is important to note, there will be no guarantee of how many shifts you will get as it depends on the needs of the organisations we work with.
About the role:
We support Residential Facilities such as Mental Health PARCs, Domestic Violence Refuges, Adult Homelessness Refuges and Youth Refuges when they have a gap in their roster or unexpected leave. The sites are across Melbourne, with the strongest needs currently in Melton, Sunshine, Darebin, Dandenong and Preston areas.
As a support worker, your duties will change depending on which site you are at and what cohort of clients you are supporting. You could be required to help with cooking, cleaning, providing emotional support, welfare checks, administering medication and maintaining a safe environment.
You will have access to our easy-to-use app which is where you can log your availability and be alerted when a shift is available. You can accept or decline shifts directly on your phone with the app, meaning you can pick up shifts that work around your schedule.
Areas of residential work we cover:
* Men's Homelessness
* Youth Homelessness
* Women's Refuges
* Mental Health
Qualifications and experience:
Requirement is a Diploma in Community Services or a related field, along with a minimum of two years paid experience in one or more of the areas mentioned above.
You will be required to have:
* A current police check & an international police check (if relevant)
* A Valid driver's licence
