Full Stack Software Development Engineer
Join our team as a Full Stack Software Development Engineer.
As a member of the Development department, working collaboratively with other software engineers and electronics engineers, you will be involved in the design of a wide range of IP-based communication and alarm products. These products combine software written for embedded circuits, Windows/Linux, and mobile devices to create one seamless system for delivering critical alarms and secure communications between users.
The role would be to extend the capabilities of these products using web and mobile technologies, empowered by the cloud. The role will involve conceptual development of these new technologies and their use to benefit SSG and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working as part of the Development team to design and support SSG’s range of systems and products.
2. Develop specifications, both requirement and technical for projects.
3. Manage and update personal workload.
4. Research and identify new technologies/software for products.
5. User interface development – PC and Web (UI/UX).
6. Identify and remedy software issues identified at the factory or on site.
7. Working with internal parties to develop software solutions that interface with MRP system to improve processes.
8. Provide technical support when required on software solutions developed.
Desirable Skills:
* Degree in Computer Science or provable experience in relevant fields.
* Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python).
* Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS).
* Knowledge of Docker and OS virtualisation.
* Knowledge of Electronics is advantageous.
