Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

Trainee Practitioner - Located at Bromley Road
18 Month Fixed Term Contract - You will also work towards a Level 2 Youth Work apprenticeship in addition to this role, the post holder will be based at Public Health one day a month to gain more work experience.
Monday to Friday - 37 Hrs per week.

To work as part of the Insight Platform team, with help and guidance from the complex case worker, support service users to engage in treatment to attain their goals to address their substance use while learning the skills, knowledge and competence required to become an effective substance misuse practitioner. This is an amazing opportunity for a young person to gain the skills and knowledge to successfully become a Children, Young Person and Family worker within a substance misuse service, through shadowing, support from colleagues and completing an apprenticeship. You will learn not only the processes but also the creative engagement skills that are needed when working and supporting with young people.
