NRS is on a journey of digital transformation to improve ways of working, with an initial focus on tools such as Microsoft365, Power Platform and AI initiatives.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Test Manager to join our team and lead and manage all testing activities related to the delivery of the IT Digital Programme. You'll work across the whole portfolio and manage third party resources to deliver robust testing coverage, detection and defect resolution.
Please note this is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working at our office in Bradley Stoke (BS32 4QQ) or another NRS site a minimum of two days per week.
Key Deliverables
1. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for projects.
2. Lead and manage the software testing cycle, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
3. Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test data.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, business analysts, and third-party testing resources, to ensure seamless integration and testing of software applications.
5. Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
6. Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to senior management.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
8. Provide training and mentorship to team members.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Professional certification in software testing e.g., ISTQB, CSTE (desirable).
2. In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes (essential).
3. Demonstrable experience of manual software testing, working with a range of stakeholders (essential).
4. Experience in the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry (desirable).
5. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (desirable).
6. Experience in developing and executing test plans for complex software systems (essential).
7. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies (essential).
