What skills and experience we're looking for
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the buildings are secure, tidy and fit for purpose. Your duties will work in line with health and safety requirements to maintain the school grounds and take remedial action where hazards are identified. The Site Supervisor works closely with the Site Manager to prioritise daily jobs and any urgent jobs that arise during the day. The Site Supervisor will liaise with any contractors to ensure the correct works are carried out safely and to the required standard, seeking sign off from the Site Manager after job completion.
The Site Supervisor will take initiative to undertake any maintenance or site housekeeping as appropriate and as the need arises during the day. They will take due caution to ensure that works are carried out in a safe manner, with risks assessed appropriately alongside advice from the Site Manager. Documentation completion and compliance paperwork should be regularly maintained by the Site Supervisor to ensure site compliance. The Site Supervisor is also responsible for the security of the site, as a keyholder, they will lock up or open up on a daily basis, ensuring the site is secure overnight.
We are seeking a friendly, professional and approachable Site Supervisor to join our school to keep our staff and students safe, putting their welfare at the forefront of all they do. The site team is comprised of the Site Manager and two Site Supervisors working under supervision. We mainly prioritise jobs through a ticketing system so working well with computer systems would be an advantage.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience of site maintenance or a related trade. Working hours will include evening and occasional weekend work but full training and support will be given to the right candidate.
