Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as a fabric engineer.
Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.
Position
Your responsibilities:
1. Respond to reactive calls, carry out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible, ensuring minimum downtime.
2. Carry out all planned building / fabric maintenance tasks as per program and keep accurate auditable records of works planned and completed.
3. To undertake small to large fabric repairs and upgrades to existing buildings both internally and externally.
4. Covering, where possible, all aspects ranging from (but not limited to) masonry, carpentry, ironmongery, roof repairs, kitchen fitting.
5. To scope both the task and material requirements to achieve the required results.
6. To ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to given specification and ensure timely completion.
7. Working within all Health and Safety criteria and processes relevant to work activities.
8. Show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.
9. Client facing, therefore maintaining high standards of customer care.
10. Be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements.
Requirements
Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works / tasks completed within KPI’s.
Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial fabric engineering.
A proactive, positive, solution-based attitude.
Repairs following a Periodic Electrical Installation Condition Report, including minor works certification.
