About this Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience of teaching ESOL. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching both accredited and non-accredited provision up to, and including, level 2 qualifications (including ESOL Skills for Life).
The ability to adapt and respond positively to emerging learner and local needs is an essential skill, as is the ability to work a variety of hours across the working week, including evenings. This post also requires the flexibility to work across various locations in Carlisle and the surrounding areas; therefore, a driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage.
We have a strong commitment to providing progression opportunities to our learners, and our Tutor Team plays a key role in positively promoting our service to individuals and communities across Carlisle through robust information, advice, and guidance. Our service is committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all ESOL learners and works in partnership with the Refugee Resettlement Team to provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities to resettled learners arriving in Cumbria.
Our service prides itself on its commitment to local people and to providing opportunities to support people into employment while increasing skills and confidence; if you share this vision, then this could be the perfect opportunity to contribute positively to changing life prospects.
You will have the ability to inspire our learners to reach their potential. Our tutors are supportive, empathetic, flexible, and provide welcoming learning environments that encourage even the most reluctant of learners to succeed. As a service, we are working towards achieving an Outstanding Ofsted judgement, and we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can contribute positively to this goal.
DBS: This role requires a basic DBS check.
