We are offering an exciting opportunity supporting people living with cancer (0.6wte 22hrs). It may be possible to offer a small number of additional extra hours working into other areas the department at Band 8A in addition to this post- if that might be of interest to you we can discuss this as part of the application process.
You will provide specialist clinical interventions and support multidisciplinary teams to develop psychologically informed care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues delivering a 2-year pilot to extend psycho-oncology provision in North Derbyshire.
The role provides ample opportunity to develop your skills in leadership and service development with an added focus on tackling health inequalities and developing trauma-informed practice.

We are open to considering candidates from alternative training routes that would not meet the full essential criteria but have significant level of clinical and professional experience ona Preceptorshipata lower banding.
Provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and clinical interventions in specialist clinical areas, delivering high quality evidence-based services.
Co-design and implement innovative strategies to influence uptake, retention and effectiveness of clinical interventions and provide consultation, training, and supervision to junior colleagues, working within professional guidelines and Trust policies and procedures and engage with key partners.
Work autonomously on specific projects into one or more geographical or service areas including: clinical outpatient clinics, MDT rehab programmes, psychological insights team and our integrated outreach psychology in DCHS.
Use research skills for audit, evaluation and research and contribute to future business cases and strategic development, supporting delivery of corporate, divisional and service objectives and operational plans.
You will develop clinical and leadership skills and experience representing our team and profession in high profile projects. You will be well supported with training, supervision and peer support.
Our team provides psychological services into a range of physical health condition pathways, including the core Clinical Health Psychology service, Pain Management, Cancer Services, Specialist Weight Management, Diabetes Education, Post Covid Psychology and our public health Psychological Insights Team.
The evolving nature of our service means there are constantly emerging opportunities to apply our psychological models and behaviours insights across the organisation. You will have lots of colleagues to draw on in your role offering a wide range of experience in different therapeutic modalities.
