About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and proactive Community Development Officer to join our Talk Community team, working to strengthen early help support for children, young people, and families across Herefordshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to build partnerships, empower communities, and influence services, ensuring families receive the right support at the right time. You will work closely with schools, voluntary organisations, health services, and local businesses, connecting them to create a strong, integrated network of early help support.
Your role will involve:
* Building partnerships with voluntary and statutory organisations, ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery.
* Identifying gaps in community support and working with partners to develop solutions.
* Supporting community groups and VCSE organisations to access funding and enhance their services.
* Encouraging and supporting local people to develop their own initiatives that strengthen community resilience.
* Monitoring and reporting on the impact of early help interventions to shape future service improvements.
You will play a key role in delivering Herefordshire’s Early Help Strategy, making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families.
About You
We need a motivated, dynamic, and resourceful professional who is:
* Experienced in working with children, young people and families, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse communities and professionals.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with a passion for improving services and empowering communities.
* Knowledge of Herefordshire’s local networks, services, and community needs.
Experience in monitoring impact, using data to drive improvements in services.
