We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our Management Accounting team in Liverpool. Your role will be split between the Management accounts Revenue and Cost teams giving you a broad knowledge of the business.
The revenue side of your role will focus on revenue reporting from client systems, reconciliations, and audit, whereas, on the cost side of the role, you will be involved in month end cost analysis including budgeting and forecasting and be involved in monthly management reporting.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others:
* Liaising with heads of departments regarding their management accounts (reporting/analysis) and consolidating group management information for distribution to stakeholders.
* Preparing respective monthly balance sheets reconciliations and analysing and interpreting management accounts performance via monthly reporting.
* Working with other teams within Finance who provide source information, to seek further efficiencies in current processes and ensuring that data is recorded accurately.
* Extracting revenue data from source systems to collate/review and post revenue.
* Supporting the Audit cycles by updating reconciliations for control frameworks, creating files provided to auditors, locating agreements/reports from client systems, and following up on documentation requests with other areas of the business.
* Contributing to the review of team tasks, identifying improvements with a view to building efficient processes. Participating in, and contributing to, any ad-hoc project-related work where necessary.
* Supporting and providing cover for other members of the team and wider department as and when required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Be a qualified Accountant and member of – ACCA/CIMA.
* Significant experience in dealing with management accounts month end cycle, audit, and reconciliations.
* Excellent skills in managing relationships with senior stakeholders across the firm and working collaboratively in a team.
* Ability to review processes and able to improve them if necessary.
