We're recruiting a Part Time Club Lounge Supervisor to join our team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa and support our In Room Dining and Club Lounge Departments.
The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is located in Edinburgh's financial and tourist area and is one of Scotland's leading 5-star hotels. As the largest 5-star hotel in the city, we have 269 bedrooms, the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities with a capacity of up to 500, and the award-winning One Square Restaurant. We also operate the award-winning One Spa, one of Europe's premier advanced city spas. The Club Lounge is an exclusive space for our VIPs to enjoy drinks and canapés.
The successful candidate will have a strong food & beverage background within the Hotel industry, be able to work unsupervised, and have experience/knowledge of banqueting. A flexible, customer-focused approach is essential, with excellent organisation and leadership skills.
This contract is for 20 hours across 4 days.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in directing and supervising the daily running of the In Room Dining and Club Lounge areas, maintaining the Sheraton Grand's standards of service, guest satisfaction, and efficiency.
* Ensure your outlets are adequately equipped with operating equipment, guest supplies, and restaurant accessories in line with business demands.
* Schedule and assign staff according to reservation forecast, special activities, events, holidays, vacation, and operation requirements.
* Conduct regular outlet meetings daily pre-shift briefings in each of the outlets to review and improve service procedures and communicate special arrangements.
* Maintain the Food & Beverage Log to record comments, complaints, sales information, revenue, and any unusual occurrences.
* Ensure that all team members within your outlets are well presented and correctly groomed according to the Sheraton Grand standards.
* Responsible to ensure there is a downward flow of communication from your Manager, i.e. relevant information is passed onto all team members.
* Responsible for the outlet's cash handling, float, and pay-in procedures, ensuring all members of your team are trained on the standard procedures and in turn they are adhered to at all times.
