We are looking for a dentist to provide high quality fully private rubber dam based adhesive dentistry at our stunning, modern, forward-thinking practice that recently achieved highly commended in the Best New Practice South of England category at the Private Dentistry Awards 2023.
The applicant would have a desire to provide the best dentistry they can, while also appreciating the work-life balance that living 10 minutes from the beach in Cornwall would provide. Our other general dental associates earn around £150,000 from a 23-hour week across 4 days with 6 weeks leave.
We would accept a dentist experienced working with rubber dam and adhesive dentistry or a younger dentist who would like to enhance their skills. We would be able to provide mentorship by our other 3 general dentists in a supportive, open, low stress environment. For a young dentist we would aim to provide a platform to support your career progression.
The Opportunity:
A unique opportunity to join our modern practice in the beautiful coastal Cornish town of Falmouth. We have a huge local demand for treatment, which will provide a superb earning potential.
You will be working in a brand new, state of the art, highly equipped surgery with an iTero 5D scanner, Aquacut, Start-X rotary endo, Elements free obturation, digital SLR camera, speed increasing handpiece, SOE, and digital phosphor plate radiographs. You would also have the support of a highly skilled therapist, hygienist, endodontist, implantologist, and three experienced general dentists.

Remuneration:
Will be competitive and depend on the materials you require, additional equipment, postgraduate qualifications, and experience.
Qualifications:
As a minimum you will need an approved degree in dentistry as well as a GDC registration. Further qualifications, special interests or specialisms would be an advantage (particularly in orthodontics, periodontology, or oral surgery). We would expect experience of restorative work under rubber dam.
We would also like to see evidence of postgraduate certificates and qualifications or plans to undertake them. Two of our general dentists for example have undertaken Chris Orr’s Advanced Dental Seminars course.
Portfolio:
We would hope for a portfolio to demonstrate the quality of your clinical techniques reflecting your experience and outcomes.
Days/Hours:
We work a 2-shift day Monday to Thursday. The morning shift runs from 8am till 1:45pm and the afternoon shift from 2pm till 7:45pm. By working one of these two shifts you will have nearly 6 hours of clinical time per day, while also providing you with an excellent work/life balance. There will be ample opportunity for additional shifts should you want them. We work a single 8am till 5pm shift on Fridays.
Your shifts will be:
1. Monday 2pm – 7:45pm
2. Tuesday 8am - 1:45pm
3. Wednesday 2pm – 7:45pm
4. Thursday 8am – 1:45pm
