Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Shop Assistant to join our team working at HMP Rye Hill, Onley, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV23 8SZ. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating tills, checking stock, restocking goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and tidy workspace. To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work and must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks. What we offer: Hourly rate £12.50. This is a full-time position, 30 hours per week, (shift pattern Monday to Friday). Shifts range between 07:00 - 16:30, leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary/hospitality. Free meals on duty, free on-site parking. A day in the life of a Shop Assistant: Daily support in the shop; receiving and putting out deliveries and restocking goods. Escorting prisoners to and from the shop. Picking and packing orders. In house system work, answering phone calls and responding to emails. Stock taking, ordering, and notifying line manager of any deficient goods. Health and safety awareness. Becoming key trained and radio trained. Supporting Manager in their absence. You will be set up for success if you have: Been resident in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work. Are able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided. Customer service experience desirable.
