The Role: As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient management of financial processes. You will lead the month-end management accounts process, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead the month-end management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Analyse profit and loss variances and provide commentary with actionable recommendations. Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Manage and supervise a small team handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing valuable insights to support business growth. Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives, adding value across the business. Be a key player in the annual statutory audit process. Complete VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements. Credit control, including managing credit checks and overseeing debt recovery. Prepare and manage monthly gross profit (GP) reports. Handle new employee contracts, commission structures, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Part-qualified, finalist, or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (Essential). Previous experience managing or supervising a team (Desirable). Knowledge and experience with Xero accounting software (Desirable).
