CAD Technician - SolidWorks Permanent Full-Time\n\nSalary - Circa £27,000 DOE\n Location - In office, Sheffield\n\nWe are excited to support a well-established and rapidly growing fabrication company that specialises in providing high-quality access products in both aluminium and steel, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. The company is known for delivering reliable, custom-designed products that ensure safety and efficiency.\n\nThe company is seeking a CAD Technician/Draughtsperson who is proficient in 3D CAD modelling software (such as SolidWorks) and has professional experience within a fabrication or engineering company.\n\nThey pride themselves on providing a collaborative and supportive work environment where you can develop your skills and grow with the company.\n\nResponsibilities, but are not limited to\n\nInterpret client and engineer instructions to create CAD drawings in SolidWorks\nCreate basic layout drawings of buildings based on client instructions, incorporating the product range and other relevant products\nRevise and modify drawings according to feedback from engineers or clients\nOccasionally visit sites or locations to gather data for accurate drawings\nConsult with engineers to understand design instructions and resolve any queries\nEnsure drawings comply with engineering data and original design specifications\nModify existing drawings as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications\nMeet project deadlines, ensuring all drawings are completed on time\nStore and organise drawings electronically, ensuring all data is accessible and up to date\nCreate and maintain schedules for priority drawings\nPerform office-related tasks and administrative duties as neededExperiences required\n\nDemonstrable experience using 3D CAD modelling software, such as SolidWorks or similar (Inventor, Solid Edge, Onshape, Siemens NX, Creo, Catia, Fusion 360)\nAbility to create manufacturing drawing packs (DFM)\nExperience within a fabrication or engineering company\nA relevant degree, vocational qualification in CAD, or time-served experience in Engineering or Design would be beneficialPackage\n 40 Hours P/W | Monday to Friday | Flexible Working from 7am to 5pm
