ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity on an amazing, large scale, high specification residential development.
1. Sub-contract tendering and procurement to meet required deadlines
2. Provide a detailed prelims cost budget and share with Site Manager at the appropriate time.
3. Payment of subcontractors, variation orders and settlement of final accounts.
4. Monitoring and explaining cost movements.
5. Manage the adoption process of public works.
6. Take specifications and drawings from Construction handover and prepare suitable packages for tender.
7. Analyse returned tender and recommend the most commercially viable contractor.
8. Monitor and explain subcontractor cost movements.
9. Responsible for subcontractor payments, variation orders and day works and settlement of final accounts.
10. Undertake monthly cost reports and estimate future likely cost expenditure.
11. Report on savings and excesses against budget costs to the Director.
12. Forecast final accounts.
13. Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs, which relate to shared cost items with either other businesses within the Group or external Companies.
14. Attend pre start, specification and any other relevant concept meeting as required.
REQUIREMENTS
15. Must have at least a years experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
16. Must have residential new build experience
17. Must be degree educated in Quantity Surveying or similar
18. Must have worked for a Developer or Main Contractor
