We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team. As a Healthcare Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to patients and support other healthcare professionals. Main duties of the job
Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and the wider administrative team.
Support the Practice Nurse with the management of chronic diseases, healthcare promotions and specimen analysis.
Carry out baseline observations and facilitate specific patient monitoring.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and uphold infection control and clinical waste protocols.
Ensure all clinical rooms are well stocked and prepared for consultations.
Monitor and maintain all medical equipment including emergency equipment.
Utilise IT systems for documentation, reporting and communication purposes.
Administer vaccinations, undertake venepuncture and carry out ECGs.
Ideally you will be NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care.- further training could be provided if necessary.
