Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting a Site Trainer for our client in Telford, Shropshire. The role is a permanent role for an experienced Site Trainer Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8am - 4:30pm Pay £34,000 per annum with an attractive benefits package including discounts on food shopping Description and key responsibilities as a Site Trainer: To write, maintain, update and continuously evolve the training material and standard operating procedures to constantly meet the needs of our business including liaising with all departments for process and working practice updates. Plan and deliver effective and engaging training to our site colleagues focusing on regulatory and mandatory training, using a range of training methods to motivate, validate and meet the needs of the different learning styles. This includes providing the following training: Line Leader, Hygiene, Health & Safety, Compliance/BRC food safety and SOP Cleaning cards. Provide learners with all relevant information e.g. policies, SOPs and regulations to clarify what is expected from them and to ensure their safety Ensure 100% compliance when filling out training records and documentation relating to the trained task. To keep up to date with all administration work and maintenance of the training database within the defined time scales ensuring all training is logged on database Monitoring and reviewing progress of learners through feedback questionnaires, observations and discussions with managers. Work collaboratively with Operations Senior Leadership team and Production Leaders to ensure all training delivered is in line with the on-going operational plan and all training needs are fulfilled. Ensure mandatory training for operational colleagues is delivered and is up to date training. Ensure performance key measures are delivered consistently. Required to work on different shifts with the view to acquiring experiences of all shifts. Maintain standardisation in training technique and consistency in distribution methodology across all shifts. Maintain own expertise by keeping up to date with new processes, key developments, updates and changes to deliver an effective and efficient service to colleagues and stakeholders. Consistently promote and demonstrate client culture, Step values and behaviours. To induct and train all new colleagues into the business ensuring follow up training is completed within the time frame set. Qualifications and skills required as a Site Trainer: Essential: Basic working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures. Working knowledge of using MS Word, Excel & Power point. Train the trainer qualification or equivalent (Not required at point of employment but person must be willing to undertake this training). BSC Health & Safety Level 1 Course. Desirable: HACCP Level 2 Food Hygiene Level 2 Experience of delivering presentations.
