We are the 1st Line of Defence Assurance Team, partnering with our COO business functions to deliver Risk & Control Testing, Mandatory Compliance Assessments and value-adding Assurance Reviews.

What you’ll be doing
* Leading on the planning, delivering and reporting of value adding Thematic, Compliance and Control Testing Reviews.
* Identifying meaningful non-compliances, control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
* Deploying the most appropriate assessment methodology and testing techniques for the activity allocated.
* Providing detailed and objective substantiation for the findings you raise.
* Acting as a vital conduit for spreading best practice across the business.
* Using your skills and experience to make Virgin Money a safer and better organisation for our Customers and Colleagues.
We need you to have
* Significant experience in an Auditor, Quality / Assurance Testing or Control Testing related Role.
* Professional Certification in a Risk Management, Assurance or Audit related field (e.g. Institute of Risk Management, Chartered Quality Institute, Institute of Internal Auditors, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor etc).
* Proven background and experience in leading, executing and reporting on Assurance reviews across a wide variation of topics (e.g. Operations, Tech, HR, Procurement, Project Mgt etc).
* Prior experience at one or more well recognised national / international organisations or one of the Big 4 Accountancy Firms (e.g. FTSE 100 & 250 firms or similar).
* Experience across multiple organisations in the same industry and covered multiple disciplines or ideally someone who has worked across various industries (banking, engineering, construction, manufacturing etc).
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
* Experience in banking or financial services.
