About the role:
Master data management (MDM) is a new concept at IVC Evidensia and a team is being built to manage master data objects in the new ERP system and the wider landscape, ensuring that the data quality meets business operational needs. The MDM Lead – Enterprise Structure & Finance role will partner with business master data owners, Global Process Owners and subject matter experts to manage risks and opportunities relating to enterprise structure and finance master data. This will require an understanding of how master data flows across different business systems and an appreciation of related, core business transactions. The role holder will devise and implement actions to ensure that the master data is of a quality that meets business requirements.
IVC Evidensia is a business that operates in many countries across mainland Europe, as well as the U.K. and Republic of Ireland. Occasional work outside of normal U.K. working hours, may be necessary
What you'll do:
Act as the global business expert on enterprise structure and finance master data, including policy and standards, data flows across different business systems and the core business transactions driven by the master data.
Be a champion for the use of standard MDM procedures and robust MDM governance disciplines.
Provide specialist MDM direction, guidance and support to the business and the MDM team.
Line management of two MDM Analysts.
Lead operational reviews with MDM team, monitoring performance, constructively raising issues and providing direction and advice as required.s
Identify opportunities to improve master data quality and implement actions in partnership with the business and the MDM team.
Identify operational efficiency and governance improvements to processes, procedures and ways of working across the global business. Agree improvements with business partners before implementing them.
8Build strong, collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including the business, the third-party service provider and IT.
Create, maintain and publish global business MDM documentation, including training material as required
Manage the MDM team to ensure master data problems and issues are effectively remedied in line with service level agreements (SLAs)
Update the MDM team on new and modified processes, providing training where appropriate
Participate in design and testing activities for improvement and automation of MDM processes.
Deliver training to new MDM requesters.
Provide updates and training, where appropriate, to MDM requesters where new processes are introduced or existing ones changed.
Define and analyse data quality metrics to identify data quality improvements.
Provide MDM leadership and support on business development and improvement projects, where there is an MDM dependency.
Maintain master data in business systems if required during busy or exceptional periods.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to present information informatively and effectively to different audiences.
Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end
Operationally focused and confident in working within a busy environment
Functionally conversant, able to think logically to challenge subject matter experts.
Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
