Business Development Executive
Basic salary: 20-25k depending on experience plus uncapped commission
Location: Farsley, LS28 office based – on-site parking + Benefits
Working Hours: Full time 9-5pm

Chef Works Europe Ltd. is looking for a self-motivated, highly organised Business Development Executive who will be 100% outbound focused in this exciting new business role focused on regions in the UK. The role involves researching and cold-calling predetermined prospects to sell products and book field-based appointments for larger potential customers who require a face-to-face meeting. The successful Business Development Executive will report directly to the Sales Director and work on a day-to-day basis with the Field-based regional team.
A typical week as a Business Development Executive
1. Research and contact prospects and where needed, gain appointments for our field-based team.
2. Sell Chef Works, Bragard and third-party products, directly to customers where an in-person appointment isn’t required.
3. Update your account on ZOHO CRM with new prospects to build data and maximise opportunity.
4. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Customer Support and Marketing whilst supporting the field-based teams to drive business goals.
5. Effective use of the sales process to sell on brand/quality/value and encourage repeat business.
6. Achieve substantial daily dials (approx. 24 per day), new social media connections (at least 10 daily) and talk time of approx. 3 hours per day.
7. Communicating and building rapport with customers through effective listening.
8. Achieve monthly revenue targets set by National Business Development Manager.
9. Attend remote/in-person team meetings, conferences, awards and training days when requested by senior management.
10. Display excellent Chef Works, Bragard and third-party product/service knowledge and be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver this knowledge and product information over the telephone or in a presentation format when required.
Skills/Experience required:
1. Proven experience of success in a high-volume telephone sales/service environment.
2. Demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and work autonomously as well as within a team.
3. Evidence that you can achieve targets.
4. Ability to create positive and memorable first impressions over the telephone, creating the right environment of trust and empathy to build a strong initial rapport.
5. Understand and utilise a sales process, with effective questioning.
6. Show resilience and tenacity to get passed the toughest of gatekeepers.
7. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
8. Ability to manage competing demands arising from internal and external relationships.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Driven to achieve personal and team objectives whilst demonstrating Chef Works culture.
11. PC literacy – Microsoft Office and CRM system experience.
