Neway has a vacancy for a Finance Control Lead to join our client based with Sutton Council.
This role is starting asap, working 36 hours a week, in an ongoing contract.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing main finance systems, and will be the main contact for Banking Contracts.
The Shared Finance Service ambition is to add value, inspire success and this role is part of the Shared Finance Service (SFS) team collectively responsible for delivering SFS activities to realise this ambition.
Manage all matters concerning the Council’s banking services. Be responsible for the reconciliation of the Council’s Cashbook and Bank reconciliation processes and associated control accounts. Be responsible for ensuring Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. Ensure customer focus and support provided for system users.
To deliver accurate and timely management information while interfacing directly with external and internal customers to manage delivery. To plan and communicate delivery priorities accurately and in time to customers and staff, coping effectively with unexpected demands.
Be an inspirational and effective manager of Finance Control and Systems Support officers, being a role model for Council Values.
