Job Title: Purchasing & Despatch Clerk
About Us: We’re looking for an experienced Purchasing & Despatch Clerk to join a reputable manufacturing company based in Stockport, providing high-quality services across various industries. As our client's business continues to grow, we need someone to support the purchasing and despatch teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on a key role within a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with purchasing stock and other company items as required.
* Liaise with suppliers to source materials and resolve any discrepancies or delivery issues.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases and stock levels.
* Oversee the despatch of products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
* Communicate with logistics providers to coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth operations.
* Ensure all products are packaged and shipped according to customer specifications.
* Support the purchasing team in sourcing materials and managing inventory.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in purchasing and despatch, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience using purchasing or inventory management software is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and customers.
* Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks.
