An opportunity has arisen at Northern Contraception, Sexual Health & HIV Service to join our friendly team at our Lance Burn Centre Salford hub. The post holder will be experienced in sexual health and contraception.
The post holder will be able to undertake duties of seeing patients independently within an integrated sexual and reproductive health service, participating in clinical duties in line with their banding, experience, and competence.
Main duties of the job
1. To perform symptomatic and asymptomatic screening, venepuncture, vaccination as an autonomous practitioner, providing appropriate treatment and advice to those with an infection.
2. To provide sexual health advice to clients as appropriate, including supporting the role of the health advisor.
3. To undertake the administration of hormonal contraception and medicines under agreed Patient Group Directions (PGD) or as a non-medical prescriber.
4. To provide LARC including insertion and removal of subdermal implants.
We will consider appointing to a band 5-6 training position if there are no applications from suitably qualified nurses.
