Job Summary
The Division of Academic Affairs is seeking an Academic Affairs Initiatives Lead. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month professional faculty position.
The Division of Academic Affairs (DAA) is committed to advancing and supporting rigorous, transformative education that is accessible to all learners. We do this by supporting high quality undergraduate and graduate programs onsite, online, and in hybrid format; assisting in the design of diverse, well-supported, and affordable pathways to an OSU degree; creating opportunities for student research and experiential learning; and supporting excellence in teaching through evidence-based best practices.
The Academic Affairs Initiatives Lead (AAIL) works with the Senior Vice Provost and their leadership team and will be responsible for Academic Unit Assessment and data analytics, faculty development, Academic Affairs project management and communications, and other special projects as assigned. Given the wide range of units and initiatives within DAA, the work of this position is varied and complex. Often serving in a leadership role, the AAIL will contribute to projects and collaborate with key stakeholders. This position necessitates sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality.
What You Will Need
* Master’s degree in any field.
* Three years of experience leading, managing, and advancing complex projects and initiatives with deliverables.
* Demonstrated understanding of the academic faculty role in higher education.
* Experience independently researching and compiling information for decision makers, including producing written reports for executive leaders.
* Experience interpreting, analyzing, and presenting quantitative information, understanding gaps, trends, and bias, as well as making high level, consequential conclusions from data.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders and to build strong rapport with internal and external partners including colleagues across the state.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including writing skills.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule: Normal office working conditions with some travel required as necessary. Work will take place primarily on the Corvallis campus with some travel to Bend, Newport, and other OSU locations.
