Graphic Designer
Working pattern: 5 days per week based in the office in Essex
An industry leader and manufacturer of toys & gifts is looking to recruit a talented Junior/Middleweight Graphic Designer to join their friendly, collaborative team.
The company excels in the creative development and manufacturing of toys & gifts and is considered a best-in-class partner of many leading entertainment & lifestyles companies. The business has demonstrated significant growth in recent years and is looking for new talent to expand the ceative department to meet the ever-growing demand of bringing new and innovative products into the market.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work on exciting projects as a Graphic Designer and to see their work fully executed as commercial products.
The successful candidate will work closely with the in-house design team to meet graphic requirements from all aspects of the business. Projects range from branding and packaging, own-brand new product developments, to bringing popular licensed characters to life as toys and gifts.
We're ideally looking for candidates with a blend of graphic and product design skills. Graphic Designers without product design skills will be considered but should demonstrate a keen interest in developing their skills in this area.
The successful candidate will also be required to create sales and marketing collateral and design trade show stands so the role presents a good opportunity to work across a variety of design practices.
This role will suit a Junior - Middleweight Graphic Designer. We're looking for candidates who can confidently present a portfolio of work and demonstate an excellent understanding of commercial design practices such as branding, logo design, packaging, print design, conceptual design, as well as a confident level of skills in illustration.
Requirements:
* Graphic Design BA Hons Degree (or equivalent)
* And/or an experience working as a graphic designer (previous Toy experience preferred but not essential)
* Proficient in Apple Mac
* Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
* Microsoft Office preferred (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
* Basic Photography (preferred but not required)
* Proactively contribute new ideas to the team
* Enjoys keeping at the forefront of new trends
