Salary: A GBP 37,635 : A GBP 42,413 (wte pro rata)
Hours: 18.75 hours per week

The Role
* Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.
* With support from the specialist physiotherapists, exercise professional responsibility for specialist ABI PT assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients. Provide PT assessments of clients based upon the appropriate use, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources, including valid outcome measures.
* Formulate and implement plans with the client and their family or carer for evidence-based treatment and/or management, including goal setting and discharge planning. Ensure a high quality of treatment is delivered with the support of the specialist PTs in the team, using ABI experiential and theoretical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and reflective practice.
* Ensure that family and carers are involved in the rehabilitation process and provide education and training as required to maximize the client's level of function and independence in both home and community environments.
* Maintain a high standard of communication with clients, families, carers, and outside agencies.
* Conduct risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and provide advice to other professions on physical aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
* Keep up-to-date records.
* Undertake visits to clients' homes/local communities when clinically necessary.
* Ensure appropriate and safe use of equipment and appropriate stock control.
* Participate actively in interdisciplinary and multi-agency meetings concerning the delivery and development of the clinical service for clients, providing specialist consultation, supervision, and advice to other disciplines.
* Take responsibility for the supervision of rehabilitation assistants and PT students, with support from colleagues.
* Develop and participate in educational sessions for carers, families, and other agencies as required, and participate in internal education, case reviews, and peer support.
* Be responsible for, and be able to, evidence own personal and continuous professional development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings and conferences relevant to your personal development.
* Assist in the development of an ethos and practice of service-wide publication and research within PT and the wider service.
* Demonstrate reflective practice and critical appraisal skills in relation to practice in the specialist clinical role and wider team/service.
* Receive regular clinical professional supervision which complies with the organization's policy and procedures and professional guidelines.
* Adhere to all clinical governance policies and procedures. Exercise responsibility and professional judgment for the appropriate and safe use of specialist PT equipment.
* Participate in and deliver presentations both internally and externally to clients/carers and external organizations. Adhere to professional PT standards and professional conduct.
* Comply with all Health and Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment is maintained for clients, carers, staff, and visitors.
* Be aware of current legislation e.g., POVA (Safeguarding), Mental Capacity Act, Data Protection, and the Disability Discrimination Act and their relevance to practice.
* Carry out additional duties and tasks that may be required within the range of the responsibilities of the post.
Skills And Qualifications
* Professional PT qualification.
* HCPC registration.
* Evidence of CPD.
* 2 years experience of working with adults, including some experience working in ABI/neurology.
* Sound understanding of clinical and information governance.
* Experience of neuro-PT assessment.
