Hygiene Team Leader, reporting to the Hygiene Team Leader. Oversee, supervise and actively undertake cleaning of the establishment to ensure a comprehensive cleaning service is provided in compliance with Company procedures, Health & Safety, COSHH, BRC standards and Food Hygiene regulations.

This role will suit you if:
You have relevant experience in hygiene or food safety within an FMCG environment, along with demonstrated supervisory capabilities in roles such as Hygiene Supervisor or Hygiene Team Leader.
You possess key competencies such as attention to detail, sound judgment, team spirit, resilience, and a good sense of humour.
You have a proven track record of achieving KPIs, punctual attendance, accountability, initiative, and the ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy and demanding environment.
This may not be the team for you if:
You lack a minimum Level 2 Food Safety certification, familiarity with COSHH regulations, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, or a strong command of the English language.
You are unable to adapt and remain flexible in various situations.
You are ineffective in communicating and collaborating with the Technical and QA Team, Operational Managers (Production and Warehouse), and the Engineering Team.
What the day job looks like:
* Lead the hygiene team by performing hands-on cleaning tasks and ensuring compliance with procedures.
* Train and coach, the hygiene team, ensuring all duties are carried out, including waste disposal and bin cleaning.
* Adhere to hygiene equipment and PPE colour-coded systems and ensure cleaning checklists are completed on schedule.
* Improve hygiene performance to meet environmental micro-testing specifications.
* Report damages or issues to relevant departments and manage stock of hygiene chemicals and consumables.
* Oversee laundry requirements, ensuring timely delivery, collection, and allocation of coats.
* Create and update Cleaning Instruction Cards and risk assess new cleaning methods or equipment.
* Conduct PDPs and one-to-one meetings with the team.
* Support Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Socio-Environmental/Energy values, contributing to company objectives.

Terms
* 40 hrs/wk night shift Mon-Fri 10pm – 6.30am (with occasional adjustment for management contact time and support)
* Probationary period 3 months

* 10% KPI related bonus based around challenging but achievable tasks related to the role
