Location: Based in Manvers, Barnsley (but with travel to other boroughs for pick-ups, you may also be required to visit our sites in South Yorkshire for training and development as needed)
Hours: Full time (9am-5pm Mon-Fri)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Contract Term: Permanent

Who will I be changing the lives of?
All of our learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and as a result all have some level of additional need. Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.
We currently have projects in Rotherham, Barnsley, London and The Midlands.
Mainstream Responsibilities
Relationships and Advocacy
- To form and build positive and professional relationships with students and their families/carers
- To apply healthy and practical strategies to visit and support disengaged learners and their families
- To help students and families advocate for themselves and others
- To help staff advocate for themselves and others
- To liaise and build positive and professional relationships with outside agencies, including Social
Services, Mental Health, and Outreach teams
- Attend and contribute effectively to all SEND Meetings, staff meetings, and training when required
Administration
- To maintain and innovate new methods of record keeping to a high standard
- To assist with the consultation and transition process for students, with a priority being information gathering and sharing effectively
Outcomes
- To continually develop and sustain a network of partnerships for work placements and positive outcomes in Employment, College places, or Further Education
- To support students effectively in the process of identifying outcomes and suitable career pathways

What to expect from the recruitment process –
- Application form submitted and reviewed by the panel
- Shortlisted candidates invited to a first stage interview
- Candidates who are successful at the first stage interview will be invited for a second stage assessment which may consist of an in tray task, scenario presentation or microteach along with time with the learners and a tour of the workplace
- Candidate selection – the panel will review any applications and a selection decision made
- Recruitment Manager will make contact with applicants to let them know the outcome of their interviews
