What the role looks like....
Promote, specify, and sell through the full range of Gerflor flooring products and Gradus accessories to ensure the timely delivery of projects by carefully managing the supply chain through local stocks in distribution and direct business.
Responsibilities:
* Generate specifications with Social Housing and New Build Housing providers.
* Liaise and work with the UK Housing Lead; coordinating national accounts within territory that operate nationally i.e. head offices in London.
* Develop and grow the PRS and build to rent market across London and wider.
* Target customers include:
o Local Authority Housing
o Housing Associations
o PRS Builders
o House Builders (national and regional)
o Distributors
o Larger Retailers
o Builder’s Merchants (Managed Services)
What we would like you to bring:
* Identify, secure, and manage social and new build projects on the territory and deliver the budgeted sales required.
* Strategy planning on national accounts with UK Housing Lead to develop specifications and sales.
* Achieve the budgeted sales for residential products with the distributor network on your territory, by increasing the proportion of pass back housing specifications to the distribution network.
* Form a close working relationship with your key customers at all levels.
* Work closely with your distribution base to manage the supply chain for ongoing projects via forecasting and ensuring stock is in place to meet required delivery targets.
* Implement the company pricing strategy in housing and distribution.
* Use Gerflor CRM system to record and manage your projects, customers, and sales activities.
* Support distributors' sales teams, internal and external, and ensure the program of product training and promotions are implemented.
* Support housing associations and local authority teams to deliver Gerflor and Gradus products.
* Pass on any leads or opportunities to the regional specification manager that fall outside of your remit.
* Attend customer trips to factories when needed.
* Inspect, when necessary, complaints on behalf of the company.
* Contribute ideas that will enable you to maximize sales within your channel and across the company.
Skills you would have:
* All applicants must have residential, housing, or PRS (Private Rented Sector) experience.
* Collaborative in approach – a team player.
* Ability to track projects from start to finish.
* Persistent ability to work towards longer-term objectives.
* Strong verbal ability - able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
* Organised and self-motivated.
* Numerate and analytical.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
* Represent the brands to their fullest potential.
* IT literate – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneCRM.
