Job description:
The Peninsula London is seeking to hire a highly motivated Director of SPA and Wellness to plan, direct and control the entire activities and operations of the SPA & Wellness Department, ensuring commercial success. This role will also have a focus on providing leadership, direction and support to develop a highly motivated team.
A serene oasis encompassing the spacious, quiet lower floor of the hotel, The Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre offers an array of therapies – both ancient and modern – for optimising health and beauty.
To further support their health and vitality, The Peninsula London offers guests an array of wellness programmes to enhance their energy, de-stress, and find balance. Accessible around the clock via the hotel's dedicated Wellness Portal, these offerings include guided meditations from Breethe, aromatherapy self-care rituals, in-room fitness equipment as well as exercise videos to allow guests to exercise in the comfort of their room.
Key accountabilities
* Overall responsibility for the Spa and Wellness department and facilities
* Develop a curated and thoughtful guest experience
* Mentor and coach a high performance, customer centric team
* Define the business strategy for the Spa and Wellness department to ensure on-going commercial success.
* Ensure standards, KPI’s and targets are well communicated and achieved whilst delivering optimal financial returns.
* Work closely with other departments such as Sales & Marketing to conceptualize, and implement dynamic marketing programmes to drive club membership and Spa bookings, as well as market leading initiatives.
* Act as a Peninsula Ambassador by engaging with guests, hosting events etc to develop a leading brand reputation for the Peninsula both in London and international markets.
General requirements
* Minimum 2 years in a similar role within Spa
* Is a natural organiser, highly detailed and able to engage with guests.
* Strong people leader and trainer having prior experience managing teams.
* Strong commercial acumen
* Ability to influence and communicate effectively.
* Fluent English language skills and presentation ability.
* Creative, innovative, and financial acumen (budgeting)
