Major Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Co-Ordinator to work for our well-established client in Hartlepool on a permanent basis. Our client is a global manufacturing business with two sites in the UK and is a leading independent, global manufacturer of specialty aroma chemicals and natural extracts for the flavour and fragrance industry.

The role is to support the Engineering Manager and Project Management Office in providing effective and efficient coordination of goods and services to both UK North sites, including the accurate administration of the Purchasing function using the company's business information systems.

Field of Responsibility and Main Tasks:
1. Expediting open orders.
2. Checking and chasing overdue orders for timely delivery.
3. Effectively communicating with internal departments regarding order progress and resolving queries related to stock availability, including updating any changes to delivery dates.
4. Administering and maintaining Oracle and Q-Pulse systems.
5. Collaborating with the Procurement function on indirect spend (consumables and non-production materials), sourcing suppliers, and placing orders.
6. Liaising with the Finance team to set up or amend supplier accounts.
7. Raising supplier non-conformances (SNCR's) in the Q-Pulse system.
8. Filing and sending contracts.
9. Performing additional tasks as deemed appropriate by the Company.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Personal Attributes:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
2. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
3. Excellent organisational, communication, and administration skills.
