Traveling Merchandiser
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be able to demonstrate and inform customers of the features and benefits of the product range to a high standard.
Arriving at customers depots in good time to set up the demonstration van.
To arrange visits in conjunction with ASM’s and BDM’s.
Training customers employees and management staff.
Cleaning and generally keeping display stands in good working condition.
Assembling display stands and POS, banners, and literature.
Booking and organising overnight accommodation whilst keeping within the company expenditure boundaries.
Dailey and weekly maintenance of the display van and keeping to proper service intervals and informing your line manager of any unexpected expenditure.
Data capturing. To capture data of installers and any other visitors to the van during trade days and exhibitions.
Must be a good team player.
Dealing with customer queries in a courteous and efficient manner.
Ensure company policy of phone answering is maintained, ensuring all customers receive a call-back on the same day.
Developing key relationships with local tradesman and merchants to develop business leads.
Daily and weekly planning of your diary electronically on your laptop/ iPad and sharing it with all sales staff.
The ability to upload information on the CRM.
Monthly submission of expenses within 5 days of the previous month end.
Daily recording of customers contacted via the electronic sheet provided.
Informing BDM’s and ASM’s of any notable information whilst working at the customers depots.
Providing the office manager plenty of notice when needing literature or samples & giveaways.
Checking the van for oil water and tyre pressures and tread levels.
This position will involve many early morning starts and overnight stays throughout the working month.
Salary £25,000
Must be able to drive and will be given company Van.
