Tradewind are currently seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Nursery Teacher to join the team at an nursery in Braintree, where you will help create a safe and nurturing environment for their youngest learners. This nursery focuses on creating a positive, enabling environment.
This Nursery setting is actually based in a 3 form entry Primary School with a Good Ofsted rating. This school is easily accessible by public transport and also has a car park available for candidates. This a great place to work day to day and has a very supportive Senior Leadership Team.
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Teacher you will play a crucial role in the early childhood development of young children, typically ages 3 to 4. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This is a pivotal stage in early childhood development, and you will play an integral role in supporting the children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through play-based learning. You will work closely with the all the EYFS team to ensure clear progression from toddler all the way through to reception.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality and engaging learning opportunities for children 3-4 years old, in a warm and nurturing environment
* Observe and support the development of young children through play and age-appropriate activities
* Create and maintain detailed records of children's progress and development
* Work closely with parents to ensure the needs of each child are met and share regular updates on their development
* Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
* Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment
* Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating nursery room that supports the children's learning
Requirements:
* Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Empathetic and open minded approach to working with families
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development
* Ability to observe, assess, and plan activities for young children to help their growth
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
