Job Description:
Job overview
Are you an Assistant Practitioner or Nursing Associate looking for a new challenge? Would you like the opportunity to work in Community Services within NLaG? We have an opportunity for enthusiastic Band 4 Assistant Practitioners or Nursing Associates to work within the District Nursing teams across North Lincs.
This post will predominantly be in the East network.
District Nursing teams are part of the Integrated Health and Social Care Teams based in North Lincolnshire Community Services. Although based in one network, you may work from any community base if required.
These roles will be within the Nursing Networks (East, West, South), working alongside District Nurses, registered Community Nurses, Health Care Assistants, and Phlebotomists.
You must be flexible, caring, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Main duties of the job
Community Band 4 Nurses are key members of the District Nursing team, providing quality nursing care in the community. Duties include delegated nursing tasks, communication with other professionals, and developing effective channels of communication.
The Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner will work within their scope of practice, as defined by the NMC Code (2018) and Standards of Proficiency (2018), providing holistic, person-centred care.
They may participate in audits and service improvement initiatives and supervise/support HCAs, Trainee Nursing Associates, and Pre-registration nurses.
This role is expected to evolve with further skill development based on NMC guidelines and the Nursing Associate role development.
