Job Description
1. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
2. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
3. Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
4. Respond promptly to guest requests and internal work orders related to HVAC issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
5. Collaborate with other members of the Engineering Team to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and service reports.
7. Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to HVAC systems, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
8. Assist in the planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to HVAC infrastructure.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
10. Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and other hotel staff as needed.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in HVAC/R technology preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
3. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
4. Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
8. Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
9. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
