As Operations Manager, you'll oversee planning, compliance, strategy, and team leadership to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
* Create detailed operational plans to optimise resource allocation, improve efficiency, and ensure project timelines are met.
* Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices and innovative solutions into operations.
* Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
* Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
* Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance
* with health and safety regulations.
* Analyse current operational processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Implement lean methodologies and other process improvement techniques to streamline operations.
* Oversee the implementation of new systems and technologies to support operational efficiency.
* Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
* Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
* Prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and integration of operations.
* Represent the company at industry events and meetings, promoting our services and capabilities.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the lifting or construction industry.
* Proven experience in strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards including ISO 9001 & 45001.
* Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.
* Competent with Microsoft Office
* Driving license
