Job Description: Quality Inspector
Our client is looking for a Quality Inspector to inspect in-process and finished products. Depending on experience, this may involve mechanical inspection, using a CMM, or manual measurement to ensure compliance with drawing specifications, customer and company requirements. The role also includes effectively communicating and documenting non-conformance findings. Experienced Inspectors will assist in managing customer returns and compiling monthly statistics.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver output targets as per work lists
2. Interpret blueprints and specification sheets
3. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
4. Ensure equipment quality for manufacturing
5. Conduct in-process and final inspection of parts using GD&T methods
6. Operate DEA Global CMM using PCDMIS 2022 software
7. Manage customer returns and maintain positive relationships
8. Record and communicate findings effectively
9. Ensure clean and tidy work area for safety
10. Adhere to health & safety regulations
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing or engineering
2. Ability to validate inspections and use GD&T methods
3. Proficient in shop maths including trigonometry
4. Good communicator with colleagues and customers
5. Proactive problem solver with a professional attitude
6. Flexible to work overtime and travel occasionally
7. Team player willing to share knowledge and experience
8. Experience in conducting CMM inspections with PCDMIS software
9. Desirable: Aerospace industry experience
