Morgan Hunt are working exclusively with Thames Reach (Charity) in recruiting for a HR Business Partner specialising in employee relations for a temporary contract. This is a full time, hybrid role paying £ per day with the main office based in South East London, starting ASAP. The HR Business Partner role will be for 3 months initially (with potential for extension) while the role is recruited to on a permanent basis - which you will have the chance to apply for should you want to.
About Thames Reach: Thames Reach is a leading charity in London dedicated to helping individuals with complex needs, including mental health issues and substance misuse. They manage various services such as street outreach, hostels, day services, supported housing, and employment schemes.
Role Purpose: As the HR Business Partner, you will provide expert guidance and support on People practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. In the short term, this role will be focused on the employee relations cases that the organisation currently has and will leading on a variety of layered and complex cases with the support of a HR Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:
1. Advise and support on People matters including recruitment, employment policies, and procedures.
2. Lead People casework and employee relations regarding conduct, performance, grievances, and sickness absence.
3. Enhance line manager capability through coaching and support in complex cases.
4. Promote compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
Knowledge and Skills needed for the HR Business Partner:
5. Significant experience in a People generalist role, ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified or working towards it.
6. Strong knowledge of UK HR legislation and employee relations case management.
7. Ability to use data effectively to drive the strategic People plan.
8. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
