We are excited to invite a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our enthusiastic team in Lancaster! In this important role, you will provide essential support to both teachers and students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of £15 to £18, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching abilities.
In this role, you will be leading small group interventions, providing targeted support to students with diverse learning needs, and assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons. You will work closely with the teaching staff to create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.

Responsibilities:
6. Reading, writing and SPAG support.
7. Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
8. Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
9. To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
10. To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
11. To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
12. Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
13. To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
14. Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
15. Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
16. Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
17. Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
18. Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
19. TA qualified.
